Aftercare Advice

To help you get the most out of your massage and support your body’s recovery, here are a few simple aftercare tips:

• Stay hydrated
Massage increases circulation and encourages your muscles to release tension. Drinking plenty of water afterwards helps your body flush out metabolic waste and prevents post-treatment fatigue or headaches.

• Take it easy for the rest of the day
You may feel looser, lighter, or a little sleepy after your session. Try to avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or long periods of sitting still. Gentle movement — walking, stretching — is perfect.

• Keep warm
Your muscles may be more relaxed than usual, so staying warm helps maintain that softness and prevents them from tightening back up.

• Expect some mild soreness
After deeper work, it’s normal to feel a little tender for 24–48 hours, similar to a workout. This should settle quickly. If needed, a warm bath or a heat pack can help.

• Listen to your body
If your therapist suggested stretches or mobility exercises, try to incorporate them gently. And if anything doesn’t feel right, take a break and let me know.

• Notice how you feel
Everyone responds differently. Pay attention to what improves — mobility, comfort, sleep, mood — and we can use that to shape future treatments.
